236 mile range E-Transit Custom van is the next step in Ford’s quest for electrification

Ford have confirmed details of the brand new Ford E-Transit Custom, which is poised to hit production in the second half of 2023.

Specific details about the E-Transit Custom’s powertrain options have not been confirmed at this stage, but Ford claim that it will come with a range of up to 236 miles.

Built to rival the likes of the Mercedes-Benz eVito and Volkswagen Transporter, it will be an exciting addition to the growing electric van sector.

It will be an electric van built for purpose thanks to the addition of Pro Power Onboard technology, so whether it’s power tools or external lighting, you have a power source in any location.

Ford go on to explain that the E-Transit “will be supported by Ford Pro software, charging, service and financing solutions via one comprehensive platform to help increase uptime and reduce operating costs.”

The design is very refined and understated. There aren’t too many features that set this electric van from its combustion engine siblings.

The face of the van is dominated by a large false front grille and signature headlights.

Ford are working towards securing zero emissions for all Ford vehicle sales across Europe, as well carbon neutrality for their European footprint by 2035 and the E-Transit is the latest development in that pursuit.
