Are all electric van chargers the same?

There are several different van chargers that operate slightly differently. You’ll need to check which charging cable fits your van, so you’re prepared ahead of any long journeys.

The different types of chargers on offer include Type 1, Type 2, Mode 2, Mode 3, and CHAdeMO.

Type 1 and Type 2 are the most common and tend to vary between 3.7kWh and 7kWh. Using a three-pin plug is possible but is very inefficient thanks to their inability to produce a significant electrical current.
