What are electric vans like to drive?

Electric vans can be quicker off the mark than their ICE counterparts thanks to instant torque.

Instant torque means that electric vans can access all their power right away, rather than getting progressively faster like a petrol or diesel van. This can result in some pretty punchy acceleration speeds.

Electric vans also aren’t any trickier to drive, but they do feel different when compared to the traditional van. With no gearbox and no combustion engine, the drive tends to be more refined and a lot quieter.

Electric batteries and motors mounted to the underside of electric vans can also shift their centre of gravity, and plant them to the road even when there’s nothing inside.
